Randy Ross has been a proud Orlando resident for more than 33 years and a longtime advocate for community leadership, civic engagement, and the arts in Central Florida.
Community Leadership
For decades, Randy has worked alongside local organizations and nonprofit leaders to strengthen neighborhoods and expand opportunities for residents.
He currently serves in his third term on the Orange County Membership Mission and Review Board, helping recruit and recommend volunteers for numerous county advisory boards — including the Arts and Cultural Affairs Advisory Board — ensuring strong community leadership across Orange County.
Nonprofit & Civic Service
Throughout his career, Randy has served on several nonprofit and civic boards across Central Florida, including:

• Inner City Games Orlando
• Leadership Orlando
• American Heart Association of Central Florida
• Community Health Centers of Central Florida
Youth Wellness & Community Health
Randy’s commitment to public service has strongly focused on youth wellness and community health.
His initiative “Cardio Express” partnered with:
City of Orlando
Orange, Osceola, and Seminole County Public Schools
SeaWorld Orlando
Universal Orlando
The program promoted health and fitness among elementary school students and ultimately reached more than 100,000 Title I students across Central Florida.
For this work, Randy received two Walt Disney World Community Service Awards for Health and Human Services.
Philanthropy
Randy has also led multiple community fundraising initiatives.
In 2014, he launched “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes” to support Harbor House of Central Florida and raise awareness about domestic violence.
The first two events generated more than $50,000 for the organization.
He also helped lead one of the largest fundraising teams for AIDS Walk Orlando, raising more than $20,000 after losing a close friend to the disease.
Professional Work
Today, Randy works as a political consultant while continuing his commitment to community service.
He is a graduate of Ball State University and holds certification in General Services Administration Government Contract Pricing and Negotiation from George Washington University.
Personal Life
Randy lives in Downtown Orlando with his Goldendoodle, Trumpy, and serves as the primary caregiver for his mother, Betty Ross, who is in the fifth year of her dementia journey.
He is currently writing a personal book based on his “Dementia Chronicles,” sharing the realities of caregiving in hopes of helping other families navigating the challenges of dementia.
